The Three Crowns

The Three Crowns is a truly independent free house, specialising in real ales, ciders and perry, and is a tap for Broadtown Brewery beers.  This superb traditional pub dating from the 1700s features a main bar with a real open fire, and a separate cider snug bar.

A warm welcome served with glasses of the finest local ales and ciders you'll find in Wiltshire.

We always offer at least three farmhouse ciders, and a perry, in the cider bar.  Frequently, there is a wider selection of both. In addition, we offer a good selection of single malts and gins, together with a kegged craft cider which is made locally.

We welcome friendly dogs and their friendly owners. There are blankets available so dogs don't sit directly on the furniture, and water bowls for use.

Originally built around 1700, the Three Crowns has been a pub since the early 18th Century.

In the 19th century, the "Three Crowns Inn" in Chippenham, Wiltshire, played a significant role in local business and events. Thomas Bendry established a coach-building business adjacent to the inn in 1844, emphasizing prompt service, punctuality, and reasonable prices.

The inn was a prominent fixture, with a bar, tap room, parlors, bedrooms, and stabling facilities and has remained a part of the community's fabric ever since.
